In the wonderful world of dancing and figure skating, you are what you dance in.  This is why dancewear apparel is taken so seriously in both dancing and professional figure skating competitions.  When you’re going for gold, you don’t want to be seen in some cheap, sloppy looking outfit.  No- you want to make sure that you are well put together and that you look the part!  This is why so many people in these two industries will go to somewhat extreme extremes to make sure that they get the look they’re looking for.  For some, this means shopping outside of the industry to come up with ideas for outfits that seem original.  For others, this means shopping around at local stores and putting something together themselves.  And still, for others, this means having an idea in mind (or not) and paying someone else a ton of money to create a unique outfit from scratch.  The good thing about all of this is that you have options.  Options are always good, as long as you know what it is you’re looking for, have the time and are willing to spend some extra cash!
