I was rather amazed to find the demand for older number plates from cars registered in the United kingdom. I stumbled upon a web site that was selling vintage plates. Some of the plates were valued and were selling for four thousand to five thousand pounds. Apparently these older plates have quite a bit of value. And the thing is that many of these plates are not customized at all. they are just standardized numbers on a plate. I doubt that any customized license plates here in the states would have even half that value regardless of how old they might be.
