Business Management vs. Enterprise Event Management

May 5th, 2008 by admin

While some think otherwise, enterprise event management is quite different from ordinary business management. Enterprise event management is a process which involves market research, planning, marketing, execution and evaluation of an event. It involves procurement management, resource management, crowd management, risk management, information and finance management, all in the name of marketing. Most business managers can make and learn from mistakes and are often allowed to, while event management can make mistakes, but there is not much leeway with failure that may ensue. So while managing a business is a difficult undertaking, managing a large scale marketing event has to be executed properly because there are no second chances.
