Is it Easy to Start a Real Estate Investment Business?

February 10th, 2009 by admin

I really love the idea of making money through real estate. I have some money set aside that I could use to start a real estate investment business, but I am really not sure how to go about this. Is it easy to do? Can anyone tell me where I can get help learning how to come up with a real estate investment business plan? I would need to borrow some money, so I would need to have a good plan to bring with me to the bank when I try to get a loan. Hopefully I will be able to do this and make some money.

Our Wedding Ring History

February 9th, 2009 by admin

When my husband and I were married many years ago, in our Minnesota hometown, no one thought the marriage would last.  We were just out of high school and our first wedding rings were bought at a flea market.  But we did last and my husband bought us new rings five years later.  On our fifteenth anniversary, we upgraded to diamond bands.  Then, for our fortieth anniversary, he went ordered platinum copies of our original rings from a craftsman who creates hand made wedding rings in minnesota.  Of all the rings I’ve ever owned, I think those two flea-market finds are still my favorites, and I’m proud to wear their replicas now.

Site Build It Gets My Vote

February 8th, 2009 by admin

My husband and I have been interested in starting an online business but honestly don’t know where to start.  We know what niche we would like to target but other than that we are lost.  I have been doing a lot of research in order to find a class or training to teach us what we need to know in order to succeed.  I have found a program that sounds really good.  I have read about many people that have built successful businesses with the help of Site Build It.  I think this will work for us and they do offer a risk free trial.

I Found the Perfect Cafe Furniture

February 7th, 2009 by admin

My husband and I just retired from our jobs and have purchased a small building that we are going to turn into a cozy restaurant.  The building is old and rundown but we got it for an incredible price.  We will be able to do most of the remodeling ourselves since my husband is able to do almost anything.  I am working on the drawings right now.  I found some cafe furniture that will look perfect in there.  We plan on opening the doors in six weeks so I should probably start ordering the furniture.  My husband has a few of his friends lined up to help with the repairs.  this is going to be an exciting endeavor.

Tired of Living Off of Spinal Screenings?

February 5th, 2009 by admin

Take it from me, a fellow chiropractor. I was struggling to pay the bills at one point. I was setting up spinal screenings at local businesses just to make ends meet. I was spending money on ineffective advertising. That was until I found a website advertising pre-made chiropractic ads that have been proven by chiropractors to get results. I was so impressed with the success stories and testimonials of other chiropractors who had used the ads, that I invested money. It was money well invested. I have had a ten to one return on my investment, and business has never been better.

Size Matters

February 3rd, 2009 by admin

The post office charges postage base on size first, then weight, which I think is strange, but whatever. It’s my kooky little fact of the day. But it got me thinking. I’ve been working with a graphic design company in Ann Arbor and they have given me several options for logo design. I’m wondering if the size of the logo is standard or if it will increase with the size of the paper it’s on. Some logo designs would work better on bigger sheets of paper, and others on smaller. A more intricate design would need more space for the eye to catch all the detail. Just something I’ve been mulling over. Does logo size matter?

Why Choose an IVA?

February 3rd, 2009 by admin

When the financial situation becomes more than you can handle you have to look at your options.  While none of them may be great, it is far better to address the situation rather than have the financial mess get worse.

One more popular choice these days is initiating an IVA.  When you choose an individual voluntary arrangement you are able to reach aggreement with creditors that will allow you to repay them at least some portion of what they are due over a period of time.  In general, you are given a five year period to complete the plan.  After the plan is completed, the remaining debt is written off.
