Since I live in a tropical weather and the sun can be really hot most of the time, my dream windows for my dream home are Aluminum Windows.  Aluminum Windows have tensile strength, it has lasting value and it can give you large views.  These kinds of windows are used by middle class homes to high end ones.  I heard there are thermally improved aluminum windows which are great for countriest that get really cold in the summer.  Better tell this one to my aunt who lives in Canada.  I experienced it myself, it could get really really cold.
