…A quick overview of how to build a patio out of bricks.  It’s easier to build a rectangular shaped patio than one with curves in it, because they are hard to cut and almost never look perfect.  Try to visualize your patio design as rectangles put together to make it easy.  Excavate the area about eight inches deep and slope it away from your house.  Fill it with sand and start laying bricks on top.  Tamp down the bricks so they stay even, and use a sheet of plywood over the bricks you’ve already laid so you don’t disturb them.
