Hell is the final destiny for unbelievers is all he said.  He was quite thankful to have the Bible as a witness.  I remember him saying that very thing.  Thank you for taking the time to speak with me while you were here in Nyack … that is the message he brought.  He didn’t want to talk about hell or damnation, but about being  helpful…  hell in the bible, of course, revolves around our concern of whether “implicit Christians” is a philosophical speculation or a doctrinal belief on our part.  After talking with you and hearing what your committee means by these terms, I would say it is theological speculation rather than hard doctrine.  Let me explain.  Hellfire for Christians is unthinkable.
