A word of caution: while this is possible to do, and uses up only your minutes (or no minutes at all on the nights and weekends), do not use it for anything but casual browsing, e-mailing, and maybe occasional downloads (not large ones though). Verizon is so picky trace cell phone numbers. Sprint offers a similar plan, but I do not know if you can make it so that your phone acts as a modem and uses your minutes…it’s a shame that Verizon is so stingy; Sprint allows you to do anything on your cellular connection and allows unlimited bandwidth; Verizon restricts you to the most basic of web-tasks and does not let you exceed 10 gig a month (if you do, say good-bye to your contract).
