If for anything else, the uncertainties in our lives provides due consideration to catastrophic health insurance or “fee for service.” It only pays off if a person becomes ill or injured. There is no coverage for medical check-ups or doctor’s appointments; the premiums are low, the deductibles high. Hospital stays, surgery, intensive care for approximate 10 days and lab tests are covered by the catastrophic health insurance. A lifetime maximum benefit payment is one to three million dollars and deductibles start from five hundred to fifteen thousand dollars. Self employed individuals in their twenty’s and fifty to sixty-five year old individuals mainly purchase this type of insurance. The primary choice of which insurance to choose is a personal decision, yet a catastrophic health insurance should be seriously considered as an option to protect from financial demands due to any unforeseen health or bodily injury.
