In this age of instant everything, speed dating has become popular in some groups.  In speed dates both men and women switch partners after a get acquainted period of maybe three to eight minutes only.  They visit quickly, exchanging some information, then move on to someone else.

After an evening of this, they try to sort between those they “dated” and compare notes.  Some will always stand out for a variety of reasons, be it their appearance, voice, quick answers, etc.  They choose a likely candidate and then see who agrees with them.  If there is a match they are notified and can begin to actually date if they so  wish.  This is not an activity for just anyone.  Many do not like the speed part and want to spend more time getting acquainted and that comes with that first actual date.
